Two for you!

Today I have two to share. I hope you like them both. The first one includes Spellbinder Tilda. Once again I colored her a long time ago and recently found Echo Park paper that I love! After putting her together my new Sweet Rainbow collection arrived.

I needed another card for my distress class I teach and well I toned it down just a little for class. I love the way both of these came out.

They both have a separate message, One wishing our USA a Happy Birthday and two, a message to our troops, hugs and kisses for all they do! Come home safe!

So Sweet Tilda

Well it's another Monday, don't I sound excited. LOL!! I did get to play over the weekend so that is something to be excited about! Last week I taught my distress ink class at my local scrapbook store and it reminded me of my love for distress inks. So I decided to play this weekend with them.

Actually I was also creating for my next class over at A Scrapbook Store and More. This is what I came up with.... SO sweet and simple... at least I hope. This is Sweetie Tilda from the new Sweet Rainbow Collection. I had to have her, yes I know, I have to have them all BUT this little Tilda looks so serene and soft. Which lead me to such soft paper and coloring. Totally up my alley! She is just precious!

Now I know most gate folds have the "front panels" open to the left, but I'm sure you understand why this one opens to the right. LOL! I had to change my flowers up too. I had a beautiful handmade flower all set for this but it was too crowding and the card wouldn't open right. No worries though I will just have to add it somewhere else, coming soon...

Crafter's Companion Sneak Peak!

Happy Sunday! and Happy Father's Day! Today we are having a cookout with Dad and even though he does all the grilling. That's his favorite part! You wouldn't believe what he requested for gifts, gift cards to local grocery stores. If that doesn't tell you something!

Well today I'm also sharing a sneak peak from Crafter's Companion. Look who's coming to the USA, Humprey's Corner! Aren't these sweet little elephants just adorable?! Thier ice cream float just looks so yummy for Sunny Florida. This is Friends Forever! They will be arriving on June 23rd.

I used my Ultimate tool to create this center step card, love that thing!! Even though the sentiment is friends forever, this is so my sister and me. We spend almost every weekend together shopping, playing, or whatever! We talk everyday too. Friends always ask what on earth do we talk so much about? Well Everything!

Hop on over to Crafter's Companion Blog and take a peak at some more sneak peaks. Don't forget to come back on June 23rd and start your own collection too!

Today I'm sharing one of my new Maggies from the Sweet Rainbow collection. I LOVE this new collection. I can't get enough of these adorable images. Watercan Tilda is colored in Copic markers. The paper is from Echo Park, For the Record and my perfect sentiment is Whimsy stamps.

True Love...even if he's still a frog

Well as promised here is my second card that our Distress watercoloring class will be making Thursday nite at A Scrapbook Store and More. Paula, the shop owner, which by the way is the sweetest person you could ever meet! Loves this image! She recently brought Magnolias to the shoppe for sale and this was on her first order.

I have to say I cheated again. This was colored months ago. I know it's crazy but I just love coloring and trust me when I say I have lots of images that sometimes wait for the perfect paper. This paper is Prima Botanical collection. SOOO Pretty!! My layout was inspired or cased by Bev Rochester, All Things I Love. She's always and inspiration! Hope the class enjoys it too!

I made this simple flower, my second pastime. I believe they are called lollipop flowers, soooo easy. This is one a many I will also be teaching at the shoppe this month. WHEW!! Busy me!

Summer Fun

Well today is the official first day of Summer Break and boy the weather is surely letting you know too! I really wish there was a way to work on a laptop from a floaty in a nice cool pool!! Thank heavens it doesn't get dark til late, I get to squeeze a little time...

I wanted to share my cool and refreshing water card. I'm teaching a distress inks class this week at my LSS, A Scrapbook Store and More. We are doing two cards and I will post my pics for the second card tommorrow. I noticed I have a dot showing up on those pics and I have to redo. ANYWAYS, this is Surf Tilda. I colored her about a year ago. Crazy Huh! I just found the paper I thought she would be most fun on. I love the water accents, I added some Glossy Accents to the flowers to create a wet look on them as well. Doesn't she just cool you off?

I hope my class enjoys coloring her as much as I did.

Strawberry Yummy!

I was soooo happy when my new Maggies arrived. I literally had the layout of this card all ready and just waiting for Strawberry Yummy. I knew as soon as I first laid eyes on her I knew what I wanted to do with her.

It's been awhile since I colored in reds. They scare me a little. I used R39,R37,R35 for her dress and head scarf. I created the polka dots using a colorless blender. The strawberries are R27, R24, R22 and coated with glossy accents. So very Yummy!!

The blossoms are all punched and shaded with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and I dotted all the centers with black copic marker. She definately makes me think of juicy strawberries and laying out by the pool. I think I'm off to do both!

Hello Everyone! Well I have some super exciting news! I was invited to join Crafters Companion Design team. Firstly, WOW!! I was excited to recieve the invitation alone and then my first DT package arrived and I became even more excited.

Today is my first post here. I used the Cardmaking Kit Fairyopolis. This kit is awesome! It includes everything you need to create vintage fairy cards and WOW it brings soooo many cards and rubons and sitckers, I was blown away with this kit!

I did my first decoupage card. I think that is what they are called. These are precut fairies you piece together and I really love the way this came out!

I can't wait to share more great projects in the future! I'm off to play with Paint Fusion! I hope you enjoy what I have made so far. Please stop by our blog for more great inspirations.

Just for Fun!

It feels like a long time when I just posted a card just for fun! I'm so excited about this one. These bright bold colors are new to me or I should say a challenge to me. I tend to stay on the soft side of coloring. My stamping friend Tracy is nodding her head yes as she reads this! LOL!

.

What I really like was how the watering can came out. I was trying to accomplish a patina look. I think I did it. I used my C3, C1, C00 and BG13, BG11. What do you think? I popped up the butterfly wings and the watering cans spicket, not sure if you can see that. Love this paper too! It's by Kaiser Craft called Bubblegum Hills. The punch is Martha Stewart and my flowers are from my stash.

Love to hear what you think!
