Happy Holiday Skaters

Today they put the star at the top of the Rockefeller Tree. It's one thing I do miss from back in the days of living up north. I loved seeing the tree live and smelling the roasted chestnuts and ice skating.

But even if I was back in NJ/NY. Me and ice skating would not happen anymore. Bad knees!

I will leave the ice skating to SWALK, lol.
Well I can't stay long. Tonight I have to pull out the ingredients to all my recipes that I get to cook for Thanksgiving and make sure that I don't have to do a mad dash to the store that is not open! Can you tell that it's happened to me in the past?

Just Because

We are less than a week away from Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to some serious Turkey! and my Apple pie! My girls are looking forward to all the traditions that come with these holidays. First is the decorations that go up the after Thanksgivng then of course presents!

Every year we all pick out a new ornament for the tree. This year we are making them. I found the ideas for all kinds of ornaments on Pinterest. I am totally addicted to it. SO many crazy holiday ideas, my brain is racing to have all kinds of holiday fun! Can't wait!

But before that, I have a NON holiday card...Just because.

Just because I wanted to show you a basket full of apples! LOL!! This card was actually created a while back for a class I did at my local scrapbook store. I found it buried in my drafts. I love the colors of this card! It also reminds me that I haven't played with my distress inks in a while. Need to change that.

Hope you enjoy! Love to hear what you think...

Happy Holidays

URGH! PC issues! No worries though I had a good sit down chat with my laptop and told it that the holidays are just around the corner and HE COULD BE REPLACED! After that, my pc issues were gone....a little tech work helped too. Sometimes being a computer nerd does come in handy besides at work.
Hope you all had a great weekend. I got in some coloring and card making time in and that alone made my weekend! Here's one to share with you. He's so cute! He's been sitting on my table of weeks waiting for the holidays to arrive. I finally got to put him together this weekend. He makes #2 of my Christmas cards for this year.....GEES I better get movin'! Too many ideas never enough time!

Well Happy Monday everyone! Kids are off from school today and I am going to work from home today so I am enjoying a little me time while they sleep in and before I fire up the work laptop. Some days its just fun to work in my PJs! Have a great day everyone!

Hello November! and another great challenge at Oozak Challenges. Rusty has fabulous prizes! Last month it was the complete set of DISTRESS Markers! Was that crazy or what?! If you joined us for that then hop over and take a look to see if you won...

Also head over for this month's great challenge and prize. This month it's Winter Vibes. We had some chilly days here in Florida and that's as cold as it gets but I know there is snow already up north, so winter is definately coming early this year.
So today I bring you Christmas Lantern Marci. She is my first official Christmas/Winter holiday card. And she is so sweet! I remember wearing a coat and hat similiar to hers when I was young and ruffles were a must on our dresses too. Gotta say though not the shoes they were usually some kind of black patten leather mary janes, LOL!!

This card really excited me because I think a finally achieved a wine color in copics! I have been looking for the right combination and YEAH I got it now! Here it is: RV69, R59, R85, R83

All Copics can be found at Oozak here. As well as Christmas Lantern Marci and A Very Merry Christmas paper by Echo park.
