Crafter's Companion Christmas Blog Hop!

We are so excited to be giving away so many of Crafter's Companion's fabulous products, as well as sharing many Christmas project ideas. Make sure you head over to Crafter’s Companion USA over here, where the blog hop starts. And just in case you get lost...

Lisette - you are here!

We are giving away a prize on every blog, including the entire set of our new Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to one lucky winner who posts a comment on every blog. These markers are so new, that you will be receiving our first prototype of them. That's 72 markers! For my project today I used the reds and greens, they are just fabulous!

Spectrum Noir pens are alcohol ink based which have been designed specifically for crafters, but these affordable markers are also great for beginners, students and hobby artists alike. Each pen is double-ended, with a broad chisel nib for large area fills and a fine bullet tip for detailed work. Spectrum Noir marker pens will soon be available in 168 colour shades including a colourless blender. The colours blend seamlessly and can be mixed or layered over each other. These fast drying, alcohol based markers are acid-free and non-toxic, and the coloured ends of the pen allow for easy colour identification. (Please note: The design of the pen, color names and numbers may be different than the pens that will be released in January.) The image colour has been reproduced as accurately as possible.

I had such a great time creating a bookcard. I just had to do it again. Actually I have about two more I am also working on. They will be part of my giftcard giving this year. Today I used, Snow Fun. The sentiment comes from Hello Rudolph. Such a cute Humphrey's Christmas set, it's one of my many favorites from the holiday collection and Hello Rudolph is my sweet surprise for you! Just comment before Sunday, December 11th at midnight for your chance to win. All the winners' names will be posted at Crafter's Companion USA News blog on Tueday December 13th. (Must be a U.S. resident to win).

Your next stop is the talented Holley. Have fun hoppin'!

A Christmas Present

Wow it's December 1st! I can't believe how fast this year has past. My girls are growing up too fast! Anyway before I get all mushy about that. Today I bring you a gift. Well many of you already know this as a bookcard but after making one it's definately more than just a card and I love it!!

This week's challenge over at CRAFT is a Christmas Present and that is exactly what I intend to use this as. I have some gift cards that I will be giving out this Christmas and I think this is just a great way to give it to them. I used Winter Tilda from the Sweet Christmas Collection and Bo Bunny's Snowfall paper. It's gorgeous!

Inside I created a pocket for the card. I also make cookies for the holidays and plan to wrap them up and pop them in the book pages. I hope they like it! I would love to hear what you think.

Some other news to share...I think I mentioned that I got a new camera earlier this week. Well yesterday I got a tripod and played with my FIRST Video Tutorial!! I'm so excited. I have to figure out some video editing but I hope to bring you my first video real soon!!

Come on over to CRAFT Challenges and join us this week. I look forward to hearing from you!

Today I bring you Feed the Birds from Humphrey's Corner. Okay so how many of you have seen Mary Poppins? When I look at this image all I hear is that song about toppins and feeding the birds. I've had the little tune stuck in my head for days! LOL!!

Anyway, I think she is just so sweet feeding the birds. I've colored her in Copic markers and the paper is from Echo Park. She can be found here with the rest of the Christmas Collection from Humphrey's Corner. They are all just adorable and easy to color.

So have you figured out what tune I was talking about? Are you singing it now, LOL?!

Wrapping Up Christmas!

What a day!! Yes, I am one of those crazy shoppers that goes out on Black Friday. It actually started at midnight this year and wow. I am soooo tired I think my fingers are the only thing don't ache. BUT I got some good shopping done! Basically all my shopping!... and a little something for me, a new camera!!

I can't wait to use my new camera. SO I better get back to putting some cards together but before I do, I have this cutie to share. This is Party Time from Popcorn the Bear. It's actually a birthday celebration set from Crafter's Companion but of course he's just perfect will all his presents for Christmas.

I'm usually challenged with coloring animals but I really liked how Popcorn turned out. He's colored with Copic markers and my paper is last years Christmas paper from Michaels. I don't remember the name.I didn't quite have the right color for flowers and used Tattered Angels for my blossoms.

Stop by Crafter's Companion's blog for more great inspirations. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The rest of my weekend will be putting up Christmas decorations also another favorite thing I love to do. I just love this time of year!!!

Happy Thanksgiving and CRAFT Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving!! I'm currently taking a break from peeling apples for an apple pie and watching the Macy's Day parade. Pie and dinner rolls are my part. Each family member in my home has a part to do. I also usually make Mac and Cheese but I passed that torch down this year. Gotta say it feels odd not making all three. I'm so thankful for my wonderful family and all my friends. I am truly blessed.

Today I bring you a new challenge from CRAFT Challenges, it's an Unusual Christmas. What does that mean? Well I took it as not your typical card or gift. Today I bring you gift bags with La La Lands Cowboy Luka and Cowgirl Marci. The tag reads "Santa was here".

Well I hope you us at CRAFT for our challenge this week. And don't over do it on that Turkey!!

Tommorrow I'm one of the crazy ones! I love the 5am rush of Black Friday and I will out there in line somewhere but I do have a post scheduled so come back!
