Good bye Truly Scrumptious Challenge

I'm a little late UK time, but I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer last night to schedule my post. My girls and I spent the entire day in the water and sun and well that just drains all the energy you had once you settle down. But here it is!

It's with a sad heart that I post this challenge for Truly Scrumptious because it is our final challenge. Truly Scrumptious was very special to me it was my first DT ever!! And though I have only been with them for about a year. I TRULY enjoyed all the fun challenges and the inspiration the entire DT offered and WOW some of the creations I got to see from all the beautiful blogs. It really opened my blogging experience and I will miss them:-( BUT Sharon is moving on to bigger endeavors with opening her new business and I am extremely excited for her! I wish her all good fortunes! MWAH!!!

So onto our challenge. We have a great sketch! I have been playing with my Mini Magnolias! They are really cute and fun. With being on Spring Break this one reminded me of what we did all day! It was great! I colored her in Copics and my paper is Echo Park, Summer Days. I got a bunch of new 6x6 paper and this was one of my new pads. LOVE iT!!

Did you see my flower? I also have a new McGill Punch. This one is my very first flower with it! It is soooo cool! I have big plans in flower making!

I hope you all like! And come join us for our final challenge. Today is going to be in the 90's! It's April!!!! I'm fearing what the summer will actually bring. We will be waterbound again today!

Sketch for you from Truly Scrumptious

Today is Wednesday right?! WoW am I having a week, I am forgetting everything this week! Monday it was pouring and when I left work my car wouldn't start. Upset, I went home and my Dad drove me back to work the next day and took a look at the car. WELL I left the car in gear that is why it wouldn't start. OHHH it gets better, when he came by to pick me up I was searching frantically for the house keys. They were at the front door!

Anyway on to Wednesday! Hopefully I will keep my head on straight. Today we have a new challenge over at Truly Scrumptious! It's a great sketch! Lately I can tell you that all I have been doing is coloring. I have added lots of news stamps to my ever growing collection and I want to play with them all. I know soon I will have to stop and give them all a home on some card or project. For my Maggie I colored her with Copics and totally ruined her jumper! So what better than to paper piece her outfit! The seal is from Whimsy stamps, so cute! It felt odd not putting any kind of ribbon on my card, but I didn't know where it would go so I left it out.

Well I hope you like my inspiration for our challenge over at Truly Scrumptious and join us. Come on over and see what the rest of the team has for you too! See you there!

Challenges:

Woodware: Clean and Simple

Gingerloft: Dies and Punches

Happy Wednesday! It's time for another Truly Scrumptious challenge and this week it's Pearls and Swirls. I hope you can see but there are tiny pearls on my card! I had alot of fun cutting them off thier strip...not! But I do really like the way they look. LOL!

Truly Scrumptious Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Here we are with a new sketch challenge from Truly Scrumptious! I guess I'm on a non traditional kick for Valentines, but I've just been in the mood to play with some of my fun new paper and pretty bright colors.

Have I mentioned how extremely dangerous it is to have a local and ONLY Scrapbook store in the area? What's worse is she has a love of paper and brings the best into her shoppe! This is Echo Park, Little Girl, and of course there is more to this darling collection which I hope to show you at a later time.

Cupid Tilda is just so cute! I saw her for the first time a year ago and knew that I had to have her. She's just perfect for the love holiday! She's colored in Copic markers and now the next step to playing with my markers is learning to write the #'s down to share with you. It's only fair since that is how I learned.

I do hope you like her and I also hope that you will come by Truly Scrumptious and play along with us. I love looking at all your inspirations!

Challenges:

Flourishes: Valentine

Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes with Flowers

Simon Stamp and Show: Some Love

Paper Sundaes: Valentines

Delicious Doodles: Spots or Stripes

Raise the Bar: Purple, Yellow, Blue

I NEED Glasses!!

That is my only excuse I have that I goofed on the Truly Scrumptious Challenge this week!! I saw BLACK,Pink and Green and it's really BROWN, Pink and Green. So I hope the design team forgives me for my flub, but here it is!

I was actually very excited about this one. I can't believe it but this is my first Magnolia post for the new year! I have lots colored, my friend Tracy is witness to that from our last playdate but I have to admit I am a slow composer. I figit and fiddle with sketches and ribbon and flowers for hours before I "feel" I have all the elements I want on a card. Somedays it's a blink of an eye and others it not.

Anyway Honey Bee Tilda is sooooo cute. I'm still playing with my Copics, notice any improvements? I would love to hear what you think and tips and hints too! I am also practicing with my stitching. My new sewing machine is AWESOME!!

Hop on over to Truly Scrumptious and see all the right colors for our color challenge from the rest of the design team. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown: Valentine
Paper Playtime: Use the word "LOVE"
Aly's Sunday Challenge: Things with wings
Let's Ink it Up: Anything Goes
2 Sisters: Flowers
Really Reasonable Ribbon: Ribbon and Hearts
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle: Anything Goes
Delicious Doodles: Any 3 Colors
Phindy's Place: Valentine
Stamp Something: Anything Goes

Happy New Year! and Truly Scrumptious

Hello Everyone! Happy New Year!

I feel so behind in blogger world! I feel like I have missed so much. I'm still trying to catch up! Let me see if I can now....

First I have some EXCITING news! I made the Fussy and Fancy DT!!!! YEAH!! I have known since just about the beginning of December and was dying to share it with you all. My first post for them will be on January 12th. I hope you come by and wish me luck and join us!
Today I am posting my first challenge and card for the NEW YEAR! Truly Scrumptious has a fabulous and simple sketch to get you back into the swing of things. When I saw this sketch I said WHEW!! Taking a break I felt like a lost my mojo. I think its coming back slowly.

So have you made a few resolutions?? I did. One is to share the love with my stamps. I have collected some great stamps and don't use them as often as I should. This Lily of the Valley is one of them!!! I really love the colors of this card and the Graphic 45 paper!! I have more and can't wait to use!

I usually have a list of challenges I enter but like I said I have been a little out of touch. Which by the way, I had a wonderful Christmas holiday with my family and I hope you did too.
One last thing...I can't believe it but I will be celebrating my first blogaversary soon. So my first candy fun is coming soon. Stay tuned! Don't forget to join us at Truly Scrumptious! Come on over and see what the rest of the team created. I can tell you they didn't lose there mojo..lol!

Truly Scrumptious Frame it!

Well I took that literally! We have a fabulous and final sketch for 2010 over at Truly Scrumptious this week and the optional challenge is to frame it. I love this frame! Not for any obivious reason like my favorite sweet maggies but for a whole lot of other reasons.

To start, Blowing Bubbles Magnolia was colored about 6 or more months ago. I have a lot of images that I just love to color. I hope you can see but her wings are all glitter and sparkle and so is her trumpet?, not sure what to call it.

The paper just arrived at our new local craft store. It's by Bo Bunny and it's GORGEOUS! I need to get more! I used my Slice Machine to cut the word JOY out. I have had this little machine for a year now and just never really take it out. I need to change that.

Oh and finally another favorite I embossed the edges of my paper for the appearance of frost. I got that nifty technique from Magnolia Ink. I flipped/mirrored out sketch, I hope you can see it.

Well what to do think? I took this over to my local scrapbook shoppe and she held on to it for display. When I returned on Tuesday so that I can take it home and photograph it, she locked the door on me!!!

Come join us this for our last challenge this year. AND don't forget to return back in January for a New Year of fun!!

Challenges:

StampingScrapping: Winter Wonderland

Paper Playtime:Snowflakes

Top Tip Tuesday: Ribbon

Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes

Cute Card Thurdsay: Blues

Just Magnolia: Anything Goes with Sparkle

Just Cute Bears: Anything but a Card

Magnolia-licious highlites: Letter or Word Project

A Pink Christmas

Today over at Truly Scrumptious we have another great sketch challenge and we want you to Think Pink! I'm happy to think pink when these last few days I was feeling really blue with the flu and finally started feeling normal again yesterday. I even ventured out to my local Scrapbook store. I took a handful of Tildas and sat in Paula's shoppe chatting and enjoying my time off this week while they kids were in school for thier last day before Thanksgiving break. I hope you can see in the photos all the shimmer in this card. The base card and the trim around Tilda was already a shimmery pink and Tilda was sprayed with my homemade shimmer mist. I added additional glitter to her fur.

Don't forget to stop over to Truly Scrumptious and join us these next two weeks for some fun!

Challenges:

A Spoon Full of Sugar: Anything Goes

TopTip Tuesday: Layer on Layer

Magnolia Stamp Lovers: Punches

Crafts and Me: Snowflakes

Double DT Fun! Truly Scrumptious and The Pixie Cottage!

This week I have Double DT fun to share! Truly Scrumptious has a great Sketch and option of Petals Pearls and Pins. I made my last Halloween card for the season and Jolly Rodger Tilda is dressed for some Trick or Treating. My girls just told me that they want to dress just like her. Hmmm....something for Magnolia to think about...Halloween costumes! LOL!!

Tilda is colored in Distress Inks. My flower is actually from a bunch of silk flowers from Michael's for under a $1 , I love little treasure finds.

Challenges for Halloween Fun:

Paper Playtime: Halloween

C.R.A.F.T.: Spooky

Crazy for Challenges: Halloween

Stamptacular Sunday: Orange, Green, White, Dk Purple

Totally Tilda: Halloween

Then hop over to The Pixie Cottage Challenge for another great Sketch with the option of metal. This was a really fun card to create, first because isn't that the cutest bear you have ever seen?! He looks like he is having a ball! Second because I made this an acetate card. I think it adds a great touch to this since it's almost ice like. Here comes Winter can be found here.

Papertake Weekly: Sparkly and Bright (Ribbon and Bling)

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #42

It's Wednesday and here we are again with another fun sketch with the option of creating an easel card. I love easel cards, well I guess you can see that since my last few have been easels...lol!

This week we are being sponsored by Robin's Fetish and the digital I used is called "In the Cold". SO...rumor has it the Red is a hard color to play with in Copics and me with so much experience in Copics (NOT!!!) decided to take on the challenge. I'm happy with the way it turned out. It was a little scary though.

Please stop by and join us at Truly Scrumptious in these next two weeks. Our DT has some beautiful inspiration and I would love to see yours!

EDIT: Oops forgot to add my challenges

Let it snow...

Snowflakes are part of the theme over at Truly Scrumptious. This week we have a fabulous sketch to go along with it. Come on over and play with us!!

Over the weekend my friends and I got together for a play date. We stamped, colored and gabbed and we did a little image swapping too. This little cutie was one I came home with. It's from Gillian Roberts and now its in my future cart for purchase. Did I mention that my dear friends are also enablers!!

I colored this little bear in my favorite distress inks and I hope you can tell that I flocked the hat and snow. This card really sparkles and the paper is pearlized. Not sure this one will make it in the mail come Holiday season...

Blue and Green Truly Scrumptious Challenge

Come join us at Truly Scrumptious this week! We have a fabulous sketch with the option of Blue and Green, My two FAVORITE colors.

Finally, I was able to acquire Unwrapped Tilda! She is one tough cookie to find in stock. I can see why too, isn't she a cutie?! I have so many more ideas for her too. This time I colored her in Copics and Prisma pencils. I must have colored at least 4 of them before I was satisfied. I 've been coloring with distress inks mostly and changing mediums made my brain go WHOA! For my birthday I was able to add more Copics to my small stash and it's time to start sharing the love.

I really hope you all come by Truly Scrumptious to play. Come see what the rest of the Design Team came up with. I have the pleasure of being on a very talented team!

I hope this counts as Shabby or Vintage. I think so, so I am also entering her in Stampin for the Weekend's challenge too.

As always Thanks for Stopping by,

Back to school and Brads, Buttons and Bows

It's been a busy couple of weeks. When the girls returned from vacation up north it marked the time to prepare for a new school year. Sorting through school uniforms to see what can still be worn and making lists of all supplies needed. I don't know what it is about the third grade, but boy oh boy is the supply list this year big!

Bianca already woke up this morning dreading that next Monday it's backpacks and luchboxes and not cartoons. LOL!!

On to Truly Scrumptious' Challenge! It's being sponsored by Sew Many Digital Stamps. This little cutie is Halen School, and he's all ready to go. The challenge includes and awesome sketch and the option of Buttons, Brads and Bows. The sentiment is handwritten by me, I wanted it to look it chalk, how'd I do? Stop by, say hi and join us!! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I'm also entering him over at Stampin for the Weekend's Back to school theme.

My first Truly Scrumptious DT Post!

Hello Everyone! Well what an exciting Wednesday! Never thought I would actually say that about a Wednesday but here we are and I get to show you my first DT Post for Truly Scrumptious! Come over and join us! This week's theme is Golden Oldies, so pull out your neglected stamps and join us with this great sketch.

I have to admit, I have very limted space for my toys so if I don't use it, I find it a new home. BUT there are just a handful that I just can't part with, and the stamp set I used for my card is one of them. It's from Stampin Up! Sunny Seasons Greetings and was retired in 2004. It's also perfect for someone who lives in Florida and still has family and friends up north. I love Santa in his swimming trunks!

He's colored in Distress inks and the Dp is from Heidi Grace Designs that I picked up at my local (an hour away) scrapbook store, Everything Scrapbook.

I hope you enjoy my very first DT Post. Don't forget to come and play at Truly Scrumptious!!

Thanks for Stopping By,

Lisette
