Overseas Tilda

Well tommorrow my little ones come home from thier time with Aunt Em and Uncle Billy. I'm sure they are getting thier last hoorahs in tonight. Tommorrow will be all tears though, not just for the girls but for my sister as well. Fortunatly she is coming for Christmas so it won't be too long of a wait to see them again.

The girls have been making a scrapbook of thier trip. I can't wait to see it. I can't wait to see them!

Today was my last "Play day" without worrying about getting home. I spent most of the day at my friends house coloring. I did get this cutie done for the Nautical Blog Hop on Magnolia-licious Highlites. I'm so excited! I actually dyed the blue flowers with distress inks. That was a first for me and I really like they way they came out. Tilda and the Port Hole are also colored in distress inks. My friend Tracy, stitched the card for me. I can't sew to save my life!! But I am going to learn, I'm waiting for my Mom to return from her trip to help me. I also learned how to make my own lightbox today. I'm on a mission to do so...

Blueberry Tilda

I'm feeling a little blue myself. My home is too quiet! My girls are having a wonderful time with thier Aunt and Uncle, that makes me very happy but I can't wait to see them on Saturday.

Until then I have 6 inked and colored images sitting on my table waiting for a place to call home. I hope to be able to share them all with you this week and then some!

On to Blueberry Tilda, she's done in Prisma Pencils and Copics for the skin. I cheated with this one. I had her colored last week. LOL! I made the main flower with the TH tattered florals die.

Here's a giggle, I took my card outside to photograph. When I turned the camera on and in the view the picture looked completly washed over! I began to panic! My camera was broken! How am I going to post this week!........Well that wasn't the case...you ever where glasses and go from cold to hot? Well I went from a cool house to a 80 degree yard. I had DUH moment!!! Once I cleaned the lense my heart stopped racing! LOL!

Rainbow Mermaid Tilda

I think I have a new favorite! I love Mermaid Tilda from the new Bon Voyage Collection. She's on preorder in Diane's store here. I knew as soon as I saw her I wanted to try and create a rainbow of colors for her fin. I think I did pretty good. What do you think?

I used the Mojo Monday sketch but left the sentiment off because I haven't quite figured out what I want to put on there. I would love to here any thoughts on that... I colored the pearls with Copic markers to match and the sweet little charm is from the local craft store, Michaels. Speaking of craft stores, on first day of home alone, I traveled with my friend to south Florida to a couple of stamping and scrapbook stores. One of them, Everything Scrapbook and Stamps is on my dangerous list. It is dangerously close to where my sister lives and 40 minutes away from me, it has amazing paper and stamps and the owners or employees (not quite sure) are SUPER friendly. See how it makes my dangerous list!

Coloring details for the fin and shells are as follows, Milled Lavendar,Tumbled Glass,Shabby Shutters,Scattered Straw and Worn Lipstick. Hope you like!

Peony Tilda

A quick post, I wanted to make sure I got this in time for the Just Magnolia challenge. I always forget the time difference. I love Peony Tilda, she's soo cute. She's on Canson Watercolor paper and colored with distress inks.

Tommorrow my little girls are off to NJ for a week with my sister and her husband. They are soo excited they look like they are going to bust. I'm excited for them too. We are expecting heavy rain tommorrow because of a tropical depression and I have to take them to the airport. I'm not looking forward to the drive in the rain and that they will be in the air in that for a bit. I hope it doesn't make for a turbulent ride.

Guess what! I got it!!

I am over the top excited to share some great news with you! I have been picked as part of the Truly Scrumptious Design team!!! This is my first and I have to admit, I 'm a little nervous. I was welcomed to the team yesterday and I can't wait to get started. I have big shoes to fill the DT members leaving are so very talented and I know they will be missed.

I'll be posting to the next challenge so today I have another first for me. Digital Stamping! I know, I know do I live under a rock? Noooo I just wasn't sure if I would like not being able to stamp it myself. That thought went right out the window!!! I won't even begin to tell you how many I have now waiting in line for some color and a card to call home.

Cornell of Mo's Digital Pencil reminds me of my little 3rd grader this year. I colored her in her same school colors too. And can you believe that I used one 12x12 piece of DP for this entire card. The DP was quartered into 4 different designs. It was perfect! She was printed on Canson Watercolor paper and colored with Distress inks. I hope you like it.

Make a wish...

I wish today wasn't Monday, {tap, tap, tap} I wish today wasn't Monday {tap,tap,tap}....Oh well I tried, next time I will put on Ruby slippers instead of fluffy bedroom ones! Better be off to work then...

Blowing bubbles was colored a long time ago and even her paper was picked out. I just couldn't find the right layout. Friday Sketchers helped with that one this time. I also made my own flowers...I feel a new addiction coming on. I created them with the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die. This die is a must have. It has 4 of the most popular sizes of flowers and they are gorgeous! I still need more practice on the rose though....

I wish I could share what colors I used on Tilda but I don't recall. I do know that I mixed colors for her dress to match the paper.

Summer Time Fun!

Hello Everyone! In 5 days my girls are taking a trip to NJ for a week with thier Aunt and Uncle. They are EXTREMLY excited. Everyday, even before the rub the sand out of thier eyes, they tell me how many days are left.

Thier Aunt Emely and Uncle Billy are just as excited to have them. I'm staying home. It's quality Aunt/Uncle time. I'm just hoping they still think that by the end of the trip.LOL!

I've taken some time off from work for me while they are gone. Quality stamping time. LOL!

Anyway, this little cutie reminds of thier excitment. She was so fun to color and one of my girls has the same colors in her bathing suit. It was hard not to think of them when coloring. Is it weird to miss them already???

Hello! A quick simple little card post. I have had this Sweet Tilda colored for weeks and finally gave her a home. She's colored in Copic markers and sorry it's been so long I don't recall the colors. She's one of my favorite litte sweethearts and I finished her for the last day of the Friday Sketchers Challenge. I feel like she's missing something...what do you think?

Pirate Kids

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are enjoying your day. Here...well it's hot! Very Hot! I am waiting for the sun to set a little more before going out and mowing my too high lawn. Most people try to do it first thing in the morning, well first thing this morning I was coloring Pirates!

I had started coloring these cuties a few days back and I was in search of paper for them. Friday night my friend and I got together and well she opened her library size stash of paper to me! She's a CTMH consultant and an avid scrapbooker. I truly mean a LIBRARY of paper. I was a kid in a candy store sorting through her bulk packs. Thank you Tracy!!!!

We got together to stamp and probably gabbed the whole time! What do we gab about?? Stamping!! Favorite stamps, favorite paper, blog hopping....the most productive thing we did all night is come to the conclusion we are addicts! LOL!

A New Look

Hello Everyone,

My blog has a new dress on. Do you like it? We are trying it on for size. I loved my last look but I felt it was too busy and it took away from the photos I was trying to post. (I'm still working on getting the best photos I can up) I don't how I did it but I went from 3 columns to 2 columns in the change. That's going to take a little getting used too. If someone can explain how to get my 3 columns back I would greatly appreciate it!!

Happy Birthday America!

This was a really fun card to make. I wasn't sure if I could really come up with a Red, White and Blue card. But I went to my local craft store yesterday, and paper was on sale. When I came across this paper the card popped into my head. I love when that happens!!

I can see now how song writers and other artist will scribble lyrics and sketch on napkins!

Happy Birthday America! I keep all the soldiers in my heart always but especially on days like this.

My family is in on vacation and we are having a wonderful time with them. We are planning a huge cookout tommorrow and I hope the rain expected skirts us by!
