My Little Sewing Kit

Hello Everyone! Here's a quick little post that I found in my drafts while searching for another lost post! Actually I was looking for lost pics that I thought I photographed and drafted but I didn't. I'm losing it!!

Anyway, there is always something around here that needs a quick stitch. My youngest is short and most of her pants need a hem. Then within a week or so she goes through a growth spurt and they have to let out! So I keep this little box handy with a needle and thread so such occassions.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday. It's one day closer to Friday and the weekend. I'm excited about this weekend. So far the plan is to have some playtime with my best stamping buddy, Tracy from Tracy's Stamping Corner. We talk stamps, we talk paper, ribbon and we really do get some stuff colored and maybe put together! LOL!!

First Day of Autumn

Happy Fall! The weatherman on tv this morning just informed us that even though it's the first day of fall it's not going to feel any cooler...SHOCKER! It is going to be a super rainy one so I guess being overcast will have to do.

WoooHooo! Finally got to play with my Pumpkins on a Vine from There She Goes. SOOOO Cute! Love all thier stamps sets and slowly building my stash. This was my first set that I had to have a couple weeks ago. Crazy that I didn't get to ink it up sooner but I guess I wasn't in the fall coloring mood just yet.

So does my apple look like a pumpkin? Yes I said apple. I came across the cutest chipboard shapes in Michaels $1 bin. They had apples and pears. I was hoping with a little paper magic I can make my apple look like a pumpkin. I think I did pretty good.

So let's see a few details...my paper is Authentique's Thankful. I colored my little cuties in Copics. Leaves are a spellbinder die and I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for texture. I created this little hanger for a class project I will be teaching at my local scrapbook store. I will be returning to The Scrapbook Store and More to teach in early October after being a few months away. I hope all my friends come back and join me for class. I missed them!

Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Party Like a Rockstar

Another birthday in my house!! August and September is all about birthdays here! My big girl is 11! Yesterday I kept repeating that she was turning 10! She was like, "No MOM! But don't worry I'm still your baby." Awwwww, she makes my heart skip! She is also sooo opposite of my youngest. She loves music and dance, and my little one is art and tv. I just love them! And that they both have some sort of creativity. It's good for the soul, lol!

So who better than this adorable digi from Saturated Canary named Dance Music to Party like a Rockstar! I just love the music notes in her hair. You can only wonder what she is listening too. She's done in Copic markers and is sitting on Authentique's Delightful paper. All so yummy!
My big girl's birthday is actually Thursday! But with kid's birthdays it's always a weekful of events! I still say ten! I don't want them growing anymore! When she's 40 she'll appreciate me holding her back! LOL!

Hello Fall?? maybe...

Hello Fall...maybe?? I don't get much of a Fall or Winter here. It's more like Spring and Summer only, but Fall happens to be one of my favorite seasons. When I lived up north I loved watching the leaves change, feeling the crisp breeze. It was Hot Apple Cider in the fall then Hot Cocoa for the winter.

Don't get me wrong though...I don't want to go back to the cold. I still love wearing shorts in November! So my way of bringing Fall home is by decorating in it's rich colors, I burn the best Pumpkin Spice candle from Yankee candle too! AND I make cards and projects!

Here is my newest Maggie. I got to experimenting with some colors with her sweater. I honestly wish I wrote the colors down because I don't remember what I did but I like it! What do you think?

Playing with New Stamps!

Whoot Whoot! I have a bunch of new stamps that I recently ordered arriving. I can't get to them fast enough! Oh and paper!! My goodness all the new 6x6 paper pads that are out! I am loving all the new treats.

Do you just love the hair on Summer from Saturated Canary? What I love most about these images, besides thier sweet faces, is the amazing hair they all have. They are so much fun to color and now I am really happy that they are in rubber.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Mine is going way to fast. I need about 6 or 7 weekends in a row to catch up! LOL!!  Today we celebrated my youngest daughter's birthday AGAIN. This time it was a party with her besties from school. Even though her birthday was a couple of weeks back, we waited to have her bash after school started so she'd have a chance to invite her friends. It was a crazy, giggly, hyper, drama queens day, LOL!! Tommorrow we GO to another birthday party. Can you see why I need 6 or 7 weekends in a row?!!

Early Christmas Joy

Hello Bloggy Friends! I know it's still hot and sticky outside but I guess I needed a liitle chill in the air! Or at least I can just pretend since Florida has rare chilly days...I'm trying this year to actually get my Christmas cards done early!! Now if I can get them into the mail on time that will be INCREDIBLE!
I had a head start on this one though. I colored her last year, it was just after the holiday season. I love the holiday season for me it's starts in the Fall all the way through New Years! I love decorating and crafting in such rich colors. It's the best time of the year to be crafty!

Couple of details to share... image is from SWALK's winter collection and colored in Copics. The paper is Nordic from Basic Grey...I love this collection! Can't wait to see what holiday paper comes this year!

Hope your having a great week!

Edwin enjoying his plane

Happy Monday all!! Hope most, at least in the USA, are enjoying the Labor Day. What are your plans for today? Today I'm working on some home improvement projects....even though ...my crafting table is calling my name. Not sure which battle of will is going to win there, LOL! It is labor day and all.
Here's a quick little card I colored up. Edwin is so cute with his little plane. Since I have girls I don't normally get drawn to color boyish cards but lately I find them to be a nice change.
Let's see...a little details...the paper is from Queen and Co. . my stars are die cut from Spellbinders and I colored in Copics. I had colored him a while back so I don't remember the colors exactly but here goes:
Hair: C9, C7, C5, C3
Jumper: B97,B95,B93
Shirt: C3, C1, C00
Plane and Socks: R29, R27, R24, R22
Hope you enjoy your day!!
