Happy Birthday Sis!

How cool is that?! My OLDER sister (he he he) gets to celebrate her birthday on the last triple number sequence of this century! It's too early to call her but I hope she has special plans for today. I on the other hand am wishing that this cold/flu whatever would please just go away!!! Today I didn't wake up as achy so that's a good sign but all this is messing up my cookie making! My girls can't wait for me to feel better.

This is my first Some Odd Girl. I'm seeing more of this cuties in my future. There goes me trying to keep a low key in stamping but there are so many wonderful stamps out there! She's done in Copics and my new challenge is to get those wonderful face expressions season SOG colorists do. Just incredible!

Merry Christmas Magnolia

Just a quick little post today, the days are whipping past me and I have much more to share with you. Tonight I'm going to sit down and get my Christmas cards filled out and ready for the mail. I know this is going to sound odd for someone who makes cards all year round but I rarely give them out, LOL. Well this year I decided to change that and part of my New Year resolution is to do the same all year round next year. Let's see!
Well here is another Magnolia cutie. I just love the ribbons in her hair. This will be one of many going out tonight. Hmmmm... but to who?? She's colored in Copic markers and once again using the Authentique Festive paper. I think that is my favorite paper this year.
I'm off to stir the beds again and wake the kids for school. Have a great Tuesday!

Hello Bloggy friends! The countdown has begun! 25 days til Christmas! Good thing I got most of my shopping done on Black Friday. This weekend is the start of cookies! I pulled all  my great holiday tins out with the Christmas decorations and they are ready to be filled! Gotta admit I can't wait to make my fav Ginger snaps! YUM!

Well I hope you like this cute little countdown project. I found this great tutorial here. I thought it was the perfect idea for the new challenge over at Oozak challenges. If you haven't joined us at Oozak you really need to check it out. Rusty gives out the most amazing prizes! This month's challenge is super easy too! ANYTHING GOES! with a twist...add red. Easy right?!

A couple of details about my countdown calendar....Well I know you recognize Magnolia's Tilda from the Little Christmas Collection. The pattern paper is by Authentique called Festive. Tilda is colored in copics and my chipboard numbers with Fired Brick from Distress inks. The most challenging part of putting this together was figuring out what numbers go on what block so that you are able to countdown. It's a bit of a puzzle!

Don't forget to join us at Oozak Challenges. Come see what else the rest of the design team has to inspire! and join us! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Happy Holiday Skaters

Today they put the star at the top of the Rockefeller Tree. It's one thing I do miss from back in the days of living up north. I loved seeing the tree live and smelling the roasted chestnuts and ice skating.

But even if I was back in NJ/NY. Me and ice skating would not happen anymore. Bad knees!

I will leave the ice skating to SWALK, lol.
Well I can't stay long. Tonight I have to pull out the ingredients to all my recipes that I get to cook for Thanksgiving and make sure that I don't have to do a mad dash to the store that is not open! Can you tell that it's happened to me in the past?

Challenges:
Our Daily Bread Designs: Winter Holiday
Artistic Inspirations: Anything Goes
Paper Playtime: Anything Goes

I probably won't post again until after Turkey day! SO I want to wish all my bloggy friends a blessed Thanksgiving.

Just Because

We are less than a week away from Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to some serious Turkey! and my Apple pie! My girls are looking forward to all the traditions that come with these holidays. First is the decorations that go up the after Thanksgivng then of course presents!

Every year we all pick out a new ornament for the tree. This year we are making them. I found the ideas for all kinds of ornaments on Pinterest. I am totally addicted to it. SO many crazy holiday ideas, my brain is racing to have all kinds of holiday fun! Can't wait!

But before that, I have a NON holiday card...Just because.

Just because I wanted to show you a basket full of apples! LOL!! This card was actually created a while back for a class I did at my local scrapbook store. I found it buried in my drafts. I love the colors of this card! It also reminds me that I haven't played with my distress inks in a while. Need to change that.

Hope you enjoy! Love to hear what you think...

My Last Halloween Post

This is it. My final card for Halloween. I'm so glad I got to post them before the holiday was gone. It's so funny because she was the first halloween stamp I bought this season and now she's the last I posted, but so much fun to color! I can't wait to give her more love next year.

I'm making this one a quick post. I'm running late this morning! We have some really cool weather today and the house is just so cozy I didn't want to get out of bed!

It's going to be an worriful day...My big sister is in NJ and I'm sure she is without power after Hurricane Sandy but I just want to hear that she is ok. I also have many dear and wondeful friends that I just want to hear from too.

The main office of my job is located in NJ too. Too many people to worry about. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.

Trick or Treat

Hello! The spooky day is nearing...My girls got thier first taste of the trick or treating over the weekend. So many events were happening around the area. This year I have a devil and and Pirate/Wench??? I want to say more of a wench because her pirate outfit is more colorful than a pirate.

Well Tilda is dressed as an adorable Tiger. This is not a Halloween stamp and I can't recall what collection she came out in but it certainly can be used here and I did! She is just too cute.

I'm a little bummed I couldn't get better pictures of her. They seem a little dark to me but I just couldn't seem to get the right lighting for her, sorry. I was tempted to take her outside to photograph but we are still really windy from Hurricane Sandy passing out coastline.

I can't remember where I found this little box but I "pinned" it so if you want you can find me here.

Whew I made it!

Whew I made it! The last of the Halloween projects and cards are coming your way these next few days. They were sitting on my table just waiting to be put together but I had such a busy week and I just couldn't do it. I bought some really adorable stamps this year for Halloween and ran out of time. So next year I'll be sure to share earlier.
This is one of my new cuties. She is Maya from Whiff of Joy. I have to tell you that "scar" on her head is not part of the stamp and honestly I am not sure how that got there because it wasn't there when I colored her. I do have two little ghouls that sometime sneak over to my table. Just Sayin! Anywho because it looked to ghoulish I just went with it anyway.

This is a tall treat box! The recipent of this one will be eating candy for awhile! LOL!! Hope you like and come back again tommorrow for another Halloween treat!

A Witch for you...

My brain is mush...work has me thinking too hard lately, lol! Everyday now seems to be flying by and Halloween will be here before I know it! The weekend is going to be such a relief! I hope to get my final Halloween projects done. This year there was so many great stamps released for Halloween and not enough time! Here's a cute little witch and her broom from LaLa Land Crafts that knows the feeling. I had her colored last year but it was too late in the season to post so I tucked her away til this year. She's still one of my favorite little witches around!

So do you know what your going to be for Halloween? I've seen some really clever ideas out on Pinterest. My youngest wants to be a devil. She has flaming red hair so this should be interesting...she definately the spunk to pull it off, LOL!! An absolute cute devil of course! We'll be costume shopping this weekend.

Hope you have a great weekend, as always thanks for stopping by,

Pumpkin Vine Treat Box

Oh Sweet Friday! This was a verrrrry long week or I should say it felt that way. It  doesn't end though tomorrow I'm headed to Orlando for a birthday party for my little cousin Mason. He turned 3 yesterday. It's a pretty long drive but it will be fun to see the family. THEN I can sit back and relax for the rest of the weekend....after I mow the lawn....

All I know is I am going to fit some coloring time in there somewhere!

Here's a cute little box that I found on Splitcoaststampers. It's a great little treat box and super easy to make. My image is from There She Goes, Pumpkins on the Vine. Last week or so I posted a door hanger with this stamp set. It's what I love the most from them. Each set is so full of stamps to play with! She's done in Copics and the paper is from Echo Park's Chillingsworth collection. Hope you like!

The Best In the West

Howdy Stamping Friends! Hope you all are starting your day better than mine. My refrigerator when kurplunk last night. I had to rush my groceries over to my sisters for a little "rental" space and fortunately I have a large freezer in the garage. There is nothing worse than reaching for what you think is going to be a cold glass of milk and it was not even close...yuck.

I'm really bummed because now I am stuck...I'm not quite ready for the remodel I want for my kitchen which I want to put Chrome or Nickel Finish appliances but right now the remainder of my appliances are white. What to do!
Don't want to think about it anymore! This post is part 2 of  my stamping friend Wendy little ones inspirations. Her son, Nathan help design this stamp for Your Next Stamps and it just so happens to be named after him too. I believe I remember Nathan was this little westerner last year for Halloween. Now I know where his inspiration came from and did a fantastic job!
He's was so much fun to color in Copics and I had the perfect Cowboy paper from Best Creations. My favorite part besides the little cowboy itself,  is the bandana. This was such a fun card to put together! Hope you like it too!

One Little, Two little...

One Little, Two little...Three little indians...do you remember that song in grammer school? Do they still sing it? I don't think my girls learned it there...Anyway, the little tune just popped up when I uploaded my pictures for posting. Now I can't get it out of my head!!
My sister drives me crazy singing little tunes from any words or phrases that come up during our conversations. I think I counted 15 in a day!! I hope when she reads this...the little indian song sticks to her too!! LOL!!

This post is actually for Brooke...my stamping friend Wendy's little girl. She was the one who inspired this little indian for Your Next Stamps. It's even named after her. I had to have her cause she's just too cute!

So Wendy...let Brooke know, she did a great job! Let Nathan know, I'm still working on his little inspiration. I'll be sure to post it soon!
My little indians are fighting over takes a shower first before bed...So this Chief has to go! Good Night all!
