My first Saturated Canary

Happy Thursday! Though I wish it was Friday, what a week so far. I finally went to the doctor for my arm and he gave me a Cortisone shot for my "tennis elbow". Since I've heard most people getting these shots before for this type of soreness, I didn't give it much thought, even when the doc said that I will feel a little pain and just ice it. I blew it off. I have a high tolerance so no big deal right? SO WRONG!!!
The shot brought me to tears and wishing I never went to the doctor!!! And of course to all those friends and family that told me they got the shot, NOW they tell me how much it hurt them too!!!  I think I need to re-evaluate my buddy list. LOL!!

Anyway that was Monday afternoon and now Thursday I am feeling a whole lot better.

As for this sweet image by Saturated Canary. I had her colored a while back. These digi's are just so pretty! I love their big beautiful eyes. The paper is from MME and I just can't get enough of their latest releases. Hope you like too!

Princess Wryn

Hello everyone!! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I did! First I had a kid's school dance on Friday. My girls had a wonderful time. They had all sorts of little fun stuff to do around the dance and the girls got thier hair spray painted. Then I said "Why not" and I did too!! I wasn't the only parent either!

Saturday I missed out going to my best stamping bud, Tracy down south for some shopping. She came back home with distress markers! I was so bummed... but then Tracy came to the conclusion she wouldn't be using them right away and let me have them!! Is that a great friend or what?!!! It's only a few but now I have a couple more colors to play with before my pre order arrives. Wooo Hooo!!

Today's card isn't distress inks, it's Copics. This is Wryn from Tiddly Inks Digis. She is my new found favorite little girl. If you have been reading then you know about my conversation with my girls and how I color to look like them. Well this one would be my oldest sweetheart. She is so totally a princess in sneakers!

I would love to hear what you think and I have BLOG Candy until April 30th. I'm celebrating 2 years of blogging. Hope you join me for that too!!

A Blogaversary and of course Candy!!!

WOW!! Two years!! Two years I have been blogging and chatting and making boatloads of cards and projects. I just seems like yesterday....not really, because if it was then let's see....I would have 2 Magnolia stamps vs. 100 or more, I would have 20 Copic markers vs. only missing 20 markers! Blogging is definitely an enabler but I just love it.

Here's another fun fact...It's been at least 6 months that I have been on Facebook too. SOOO I figure why not celebrate that too!! Take a look over there too, there's different candy there....And since I missed last year's anniversary we are definitely going to make this one a special one.

Candy Rules:

1. Become a follower or "Like" my Facebook page. If you do both or are in both add your name to twice.
2. Leave a comment and tell me where you are from and what made you start blogging. My girls get a kick out of seeing everyone I "talk" to online!

And it's not necessary but if you want to add my candy to your sidebar that would be great.

What's in the candy above... stamps from Crafter's Companion, LOTV, Nellie Snellan, Sarah K, Mini Magnolia. Flowers from Prima and Wild Orchids and 6x6 paper from Echo Park and MME. All great favs of mine! Hope you enjoy them too.

You have until April 30th and winners will be announced May 1st.! Good luck!

Sweet Lucy

Yesterday I had a "Huh" moment. I always put my latest cards up on the bookshelf to admire until the next sets of cards replaces them. My youngest daughter takes a look at this one and yesterday's mermaid and says "Mommy they look like me."

My youngest is a red head. I told her that I was thinking of her when I colored them and that I was thinking of her sister when I colored the next two that I will be posting in the near future. Looking back, I'm always thinking of them when I buy or color images. I have alot of red-headed or brunette little girls in my images. Then I said to myself, "Huh, I didn't realize I did that." My "Huh" moment...

So let's just call this one for who it is, My Lexi girl. LOL!! Her birthday is several months away and I hate that she will be soon in the double digits. They are growing up too fast. Lexi lived in piktails when she was smaller and I still put some on her every now and then, she still likes them.

My image is from CC Designs and her name is Party Time Lucy. She has the cutest cheeks you just want to squeeze!! She's colored in Copics and her dress is paper pieced. The paper is from MME Hoody Doody collection.

Hope you like!

Elania Dreaming

Hello!! It's raining here in the Sunshine state. We definitely need it and I'm so glad I was able to mow the lawn yesterday or it would look like a rainforest out there!! I had a very productive afternoon yesterday. I love when the time changes and I have more daylight in the evenings it just keeps me energized longer. Besides getting the lawn mowed, I actually got some cards created, photographed, and ready to be posted in the near future. Woo Hoo!!!

Today I bring you Elania she is by Sylvia Zet and is designed for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I love Sylvia Zet's images and I was over the top excited a few weeks back when I won a surprise gift on Facebook from Susana and it was Elania. She was soooo on my list to order at the time of her release. I had colored her right away but with my arm misbehaving didn't get to put her together until yesterday.

I found the greatest sketch on The Sweet Stop Sketches. The "spin" on the sketch challenge this week was to use green as well, so fingers crossed that blue green will be okay and her mossy stone will pass too. My DP is from my stash. I picked it up sometime last year from Michaels or JoAnns and she is done in copics.

Baby Tilda

It's Monday! Urgh!! I started it by waking up late and almost not having enough time to get me and the kids ready! Fortunately they were doing better than me this morning and we got out on time! LOL!!

Well how many of you guessed Baby Tilda for today from yesterday's post? Here she is and she is just adorable! My littlest baby girl was a paci- sucker and Tilda looks just like her with her tight little curls and pacifier. Baby Tilda is done in distress re-inkers only today. No pinks to play with in the DI markers yet... I can't wait for my markers to arrive. Baby Edwin in my previous post has wanting to play!

I'll be teaching this card along with Baby Edwin in a Distress Ink watercoloring class in April at The Scrapbook Store and More in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. If your in the neighborhood, come on in!

Love to hear what you think!

Challenges:
That Craft Place: Anything Goes

Baby Edwin and my return!

Hello Everyone!! I have missed you all!! Yesterday was my first official day of crafting in over a month. I know I mentioned that I have images that I was going to put together and post but honestly my arm just kept taking a turn for the worse and the last thing I wanted to do was type.

I'm not 100% better but I missed playing with my wonderful stamps too much and I was afraid Spring and Easter would pass me by and I didn't get to post some of my projects.

I had a wonderful time yesterday, our local scrapbook store, A Scrapbook Store and More had a St. Patty's Day Crop! There was food, lots of friends and so much fun! I had my fingers crossed the entire time wishing I would be the winner of the FULL set of Distress Inks Markers but alas I wasn't. Boo Hoo!! I hope Nancy enjoys them!!

While I wait for my Pre-order to arrive, I have been playing with a small handful that Paula, the store owner came back from CHA with so here it is!!

I've seen a little chatter about DI Markers and watercoloring and some suggestions for different types of paper. Well here is my chatter...I use the Canson Montval 140lb Watercolor paper. I love this paper with all my DI's, it absolutely blends beautifully!!! AND you DON'T have to wet your paper before hand to blend the DI markers.

As I mentioned I had a limited supply of them so Baby Edwin's outfit, stars and crown are done in DI Markers. The rest is re-inkers.
Outfit: Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans
Crown and Stars: Wild Honey

This is one of two cards for my next class that I teach over at The Scrapbook Store for April. I hope markers arrive before class. I definatley want to show them off! If you are around please come join me. I bet you can guess which is the second card for class? LOL!! Answer will come tommorrow!

Like I said, I truly missed chatting, blogging...whatever you want to call it. I'm excited to get moving again!

Dutch Dare: Dots and Stripes
Gingersnap Creations: Border Punches
