Make it POP at Do You Stack UP Guest DT

What a morning!? Computer locked up on me twice! I got scared and spent most of the morning "cleaning" it, backing up, deleting temp files, defraging... Hopefully it behaves now.

Enough geek speak..I don't have to be back at work yet, LOL! Lucky me! I got to Guest Design over at Do You Stack Up! I've played in many of thier challenges lately they are always so much fun! This week they are making it POP! And I got to play with another Digi's with Attitude image. Tooo Coool!!! The Tweens are adorable and this one can be found here.

I guess you can see one way I made it POP. The campfire was my other way, love the way that came out!

Well hope you stop by Do You Stack Up and see what thier team has to inspire you. POP on by with your creation too!

Good bye Truly Scrumptious Challenge

I'm a little late UK time, but I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer last night to schedule my post. My girls and I spent the entire day in the water and sun and well that just drains all the energy you had once you settle down. But here it is!

It's with a sad heart that I post this challenge for Truly Scrumptious because it is our final challenge. Truly Scrumptious was very special to me it was my first DT ever!! And though I have only been with them for about a year. I TRULY enjoyed all the fun challenges and the inspiration the entire DT offered and WOW some of the creations I got to see from all the beautiful blogs. It really opened my blogging experience and I will miss them:-( BUT Sharon is moving on to bigger endeavors with opening her new business and I am extremely excited for her! I wish her all good fortunes! MWAH!!!

So onto our challenge. We have a great sketch! I have been playing with my Mini Magnolias! They are really cute and fun. With being on Spring Break this one reminded me of what we did all day! It was great! I colored her in Copics and my paper is Echo Park, Summer Days. I got a bunch of new 6x6 paper and this was one of my new pads. LOVE iT!!

Did you see my flower? I also have a new McGill Punch. This one is my very first flower with it! It is soooo cool! I have big plans in flower making!

I hope you all like! And come join us for our final challenge. Today is going to be in the 90's! It's April!!!! I'm fearing what the summer will actually bring. We will be waterbound again today!

Spring Break!!

Spring Break is here! I am so excited. I always take this time of year with my children. It's always just right this time of year, not tooo hot and never cold and rainy. Actually this year has been hotter than most so I see alot of beach time in our week. LOL!!

This week's theme is Springtime over at Fussy and Fancy and our host is Digi's with Attitude. Isn't this Beach Tween too cute! Love her! I think I have a pair of flops like that! Anyway the challenge is to use springtime colors or images or both. I guess I used both. I love my water paper. It really looks like a pool! It's from a stash long ago and now I am down to my last piece. :-(

Come join us over at Fussy and Fancy. Our DT has some fabulous inspirations to share. Looking forward to seeing you there!

My First Mini

Friday YEAH!!!! It was a loooong week! I think it felt that way because I am going on vacation in one more week, Spring Break with my girls and I'm sure you may know that the weeks before that time just seem to Drrrrraaaaaagggggg. Last night I was just going to sit back and relax and watch some tv, but first I said well let me see how this paper goes with my newly colored image. Then I went on to cut out the frame. Of course I needed to find ribbon and before I knew it was 9pm and I was photographing my completed card.

I was excited about this one because this is my first time playing with Mini Magnolia's. My local scrapbook store was contacted by Diana from Magnolia-licious and asked if she wanted to carry them. I was extremely excited to hear that she said yes! So now my very few minis have grown into a bunch and I am having fun! I will admit I wasn't a big fan at first, but they really are just too cute for words once you start playing with them. I'm hooked!

So what do you think of my sky? Thank you Annika from Anothermessycrafter.blogspot.com she had this great tutorial for creating sky with copics markers. I gave it a try, what do you think?

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Maggy-nificent Banner

I hope you have a few minutes because this post is LOADED with pictures. One thing I learned on this project is the a banner is hard to photograph! At home I have no good lighting so I went out to my local scrapbook store in hope that her lighting is better. Here's what I came up with.

My banner is for the Magnolia-Licous Highlites contest! I've had this challenge on my mind since it first posted. I must have changed my mind about what I wanted to do a million times. Finally staring at a blank wall space over my craft station I decided! This is my first time making a banner. It was so much fun! On to details since this post is going to be full of pictures you don't need me blabbing!

Each panel is stitched and topped with the DooHickey Die for Magnolia. All the flowers are handmade. This was my first try at the rolled roses and I like them, hope you do too! The Rosettes that are in between each panel is from the Tim Holtz Die for Rosettes. I punched the pink flowers. Oops almost forgot, I don't want to miss out on the contest for not following the rules! The contest is being sponsored by our lovely Diana and Magnolia-Licious Stamps. The sweet hearts I used for my project are Tilda holding egg basket and Tilda and her bunny, both can be found on this page. Tilda with the flower in her hair is here and Hello Tilda is currently not in stock but I'm sure if you email Diana she will work on getting that for you.

The lettering is done a the Cricket. The entire banner is tied together with Ric Rac ribbon.

There's alot of sparkle and bling on this banner I tried my best to catch it all. The butterflies are stickled in Star Dust, the roses in Rock candy. The nested egg shapes are glitter raised paper.

I hope you like it! I can't wait to show my girls when they arrive from school today. They were watching me put it together last night and I finished it well after thier bedtime. We didn't have a chance to look at it this morning before we were off to school and work.

One last picture of my flowers! ;-)

A Card for a Child

I think this was the longest week ever! I'm so happy it's Friday! My kids and I have been preparing for next week, FCAT. I know they will do great but even I am nervous for them. Don't get me started on standardized testing! I always knew my stuff but froze on all standard testing. I just hope they don't inherit that trait from me! Well with this Friday comes a new Fussy and Fancy Challenge! Our theme is A Card for a Child. Isn't this cutie adorable! I won her from All that Scraps monthly challenge. Her name is Swiss Pixie Cupcake Brigitta and she was so much fun to color! My paper is from Echo Park, LOVE thier paper. I just can't get enough of it!

I hope you hop in over to Fussy and Fancy and view all the great inspiration the rest of the design team came up with and join us in these next two weeks! Keep your finger and toes crossed for my kiddos and thier first taste of FCAT. As always love to hear from you and come back soon!
